CLASS OF 2010 RANKINGS
1. ARIANA ELEGADO 5’6 PG LA JOLLA COUNTRY DAY
Ariana is the best true point guard in her class. Elegado does it all for the La Jolla Country Day. In the transition game, Elegado is a great decision maker running the fast break. She generates easy transition buckets for her team with her excellent floor vision. This floor leader is a master at creating her own shot off the dribble. But because she is a true point guard, Elegado prefers to create for her teammates. On defense, she lives in the passing lanes.
2. NICOLE FOUNTAIN 5’9 SG MT. MIGUEL
Nicole has all the physical tools to be great. Fountain is a versatile player who can play 3 positions on the floor. She can score, rebound, pass, dribble, run and is no slouch on defense. Fountain is a 5’9 guard with good perimeter and backcourt talent. She is a bonafied all-around player with elite offensive skills. Able to take opponents off the dribble, she can also go coast-to-coast and make smart decisions on the break. Nicole has a cold-blooded step-back jumper from 3-point range and a lot of instinctive fundamental moves.
3. SHERIKA MILLER 5’11 G WESTHILLS
Sherika is considered a complete player; she can defend, score, rebound, and pass. Miller can also shoot the outside shot. If you play her too tight, she can take you off the bounce. But her ability to compete is what makes her great. One of the best team players in San Diego, Miller does not need to score to have a big impact on the game.
4. YVONTE’ NEAL 5’6 SG EASTLAKE
Neal is a 2-guard who knows how to score. Yvonte’ is a clutch performer who’s not afraid to takeover when the game is on the line. Able to finish at the rim and score from any angle while attacking the basket, her outside game is also top notch. Neal led Eastlake last year in 3-pointers.
5. DIAMOND MITCHELL 5’4 G EASTLAKE
Diamond Mitchell is a great athlete who is a terror in the open court. She picks up easy transition buckets because of her speed, quickness and her blue collar attitude. Mitchell is the real deal who gets the job done in a business like manor. She can finish while making contact, and hit the open jumper.
6. ELAINA WHITE 5’10 G THE BISHOP’S SCHOOL
White is a capable scorer. She is a very difficult player to guard because of her ability to shoot from the perimeter and her ability to go inside. She sees the floor well and can hit the open person in stride. White is an impact player who plays with a lot of confidence. She is a great decision maker on the floor. White can finish with either hand.
7. ANDREA BIRD 5’11 POST SAN DIEGO
Bird brings a dominant presence and a winning attitude to the floor. Bird moves well and controls the paint on defense. Her footwork is excellent, and her passing out of the double team is tremendous.
8. BRIANA MARTINEZ 5’10 G/F THE BISHOP’S SCHOOL
Martinez has a nice pull-up jumper from 10 to 15 feet. Rebounds the ball well and plays hard every play. Briana has an opportunity to be very good if she keeps on working hard every day in the gym. Briana is an emerging talent in his class has enormous potential and the skills to be a top-flight recruit.
9. JACARA ROBERTS 6’0 POST EASTLAKE
Strong and assertive forward gets a lot done in the paint.
10. CLAUDIA POSADA 6’0 POST VINCENT MEMORIAL
Solid post with potential and is one to definitely track in this class.
11. SHATEARA ANDERSON 5’3 G MT. MIGUEL
Productive combo-guard plays hard all the time and makes plays at both ends.

Scrappy guard plays hard.
