With improved footspeed Payton has a chance to develop into a college level shooter. He has a great stroke and is coachable. He handles the ball well but will need to increase his speed off the dribble and catching and shooting. He has improved his weight training and will be one to watch. I like his work ethic and with increased confidence he will become a hot property. He lead his district in three point field goal percentage. 2nd Eval: Payton can definitely play the 3 at the NAIA level. He still needs to increase his quickness but he showed the ability to use savvy against bigger more athletic players to get his shot off. He used an array of up and under moves and head fakes to get his shot off against 6-8 players. I think a D-3 or NAIA school should begin contact. |
