The Ark was delighted to be present to evaluate some very talented ball players from Arkansas and Tennessee. Although the event should have had more upper classman display their talent so that college coaches can look to these two states for quality players but the class of 2010 showed up and showed their talent and dominance in Memphis.

Ray Volner 6-4 Hoxie H.S. c/o 2008:  Showed good range, jumping ability and basketball I.Q. Needs to triple down more and be more aggressive attacking the basketball. Very solid ball player with a good built.

Gavin McDaniel 6-6 Wynne H.S. c/o 2008: A good touch around the basket with solid moves that keeps defense off balance, showed good emotion to will his team to some come from behind victories. Gavin stock will rise if he can display that he can face up and handle the ball.

Corey Lawson 6-5 Jonesboro H.S. c/o 2008:  He has a great shooting touch and showed very good athleticism. Needs to be more aggressive and move with out the ball. Corey has all the tools that he needs he just needs to display them on the court.
6-6 Gavin McDaniel
Wynne H.S.
6-2 Thatcher Cooperwood
Riverview H.S.
Thatcher Cooperwood 6-2 Riverview H.S. c/o 2009: Thatcher is a very likable young man with a great attitude and can jump out the gym showed that he can attack but needs to place a pull up jump shot into his game.

Aaron Cooper 6-0North Pulaski H.S. c/o 2010: Hyper extended his knee and had to sit out the remainder of the showcase but still showed his long range and speed before the knee sprang.

Caleb Jones Pulaski Academy c/o 2010: Caleb started out show but as the showcase went on he developed more and more confidence. Can shoot the long ball, needs to make better decision with the ball. Getting in the weight room will help this young ball player emerge as one of the top point guards in this class.

Daquan Bryant 6-3 North Pulaski H.S. c/o 2010: Daquan pounded the boards and showed that he can create mismatches. Showed his ability to handle the ball and pass out of the post. If Daquan can do this game in and game out then his stock will rise for ARK's c/o 2010.

Joe”Goony” Agee 5-5 North Pulaski H.S. c/o 2010: Don’t let the small statue fool you he has the heart of a lion and will battle to the end. His very vocal and this makes him gain attention. Agee needs to developed shots that he can make over taller defenders and keep enhancing his knowledge of the game.
Jordan Weaver 6-2 Wynne H.S. c/o 2010: A left handed shooter who showed that he has range and athleticism. Jordan needs to show better ball handling that he can use to separate from defenders. His place on MSPH will rise after his performance Saturday.

Jeffery Drew II 6-7 Mills University H.S. c/o 2010: Jeff is showing more aggressiveness than last year. The sky is the limit for Jeffery, showed a good shooting touch around the basket and rebounded with energy. Needs to be careful with shooting the three ball and keep working on keeping the ball up so smaller defenders can’t strip him.

D’Andre Anderson 5-9 Mills University H.S. c/o 2010: D’Andre showed a lot of improvements since last seeing him play. Plays with a lot of energy and passion, needs to keep working on decision making and shot selection to become that elite point guard.

Christian Ryecraw 5-10 Bryant H.S. c/o 2010: Chris probably the best on the ball defender in the class. Plays all out and it tends to hurt his decision making, shooting and ball handling drills will make him rank up with the state players in his class.

Jordan Washington 6-3 Central H.S. c/o 2010: Jordan didn’t have a good showing but not from lack of talent he just didn’t get the touches and since he rarely plays facing the basket events like this hurt you. Is starting to show that he can rebound and take it coast to coast. Very strong and can score under the basket but with his size needs to show that he can face up as well.
