MEMPHIS - While the bigger camps had their fair share of known elite prospects taking center stage, the second day of the CCB All-American Camp pushed forward and established several under the radar players as legitimate prospects. The camp format, which inlcuded JUCO players as well as high school prospects, was played tournament style. Unlike Day 1, Day 2 was exciting and the players displayed an array of skills for the colleges in attendance throughout the day.
Today was about building a resume against other players attempting to establish alpha dog status. Players that made a statement ranged from JUCO standout Deshawn Pendleton 6-0 Simmons College, who dropped 30pts in one game, has led his team in scoring throughout the camp. The combo scoring machine used threes and forays to the hoop to lead his squad back from a first day defeat by Team Gold.

Kimani Shotwell 6-5 G Central H.S.(TN) c/o 2008 has launched himself to a different level in the camp by playing fundamentally sound defense. One of the few campers who knows how to step in and take charges, also blocked shots with his length and timing. But it was his ability to step up and knock down the three with consistency while also defending from the 1-4 spot.
Deshawn Carter 6-5 G/F Meridian H.S. (MS) c/o 2009 who dropped 18pts, and grabbed 4 rebounds, has a great build. Most of his buckets come from hustle plays. He has solid athleticism and plays a hardnosed brand of hoops that will allow him to grab the attention of a number of schools.
Aaron Cooper 6-0 G Pulaski H.S. (Ark) c/o 2010 when he develops a stronger handle, will undoubtedly be one of the top ranked guards in the state of Arkansas and in the south. He has perfect mechanics and has NBA range.
c/o 2011 PG Donovan Bridgeforth 5-9 is the future of Texas PG's
Donovan Bridgeforth 5-9 c/o 2011 Jacksonville H.S. (TX) could be the future DJ Augustine. The small ball wiz has a reason to smile. He helped lead Team Royal, a JUCO team to the championship game. A heads up PG with a strong handle only has to add strength over the next few years and he will be a legitimate high major prospect.
Derrick Warren 5-11 PG Post Grad, along with Vince Powell, may be the two best unsigned PG in the US. This is a huge claim to make but it was evident to everyone in the gym. Derrick has to go the JUCO route but was offered on the spot by both Southwest TN. College and Simmons College. Vince is a full qualifier and Mississippi Valley State is now showing high interest. With a short amount of time to make a decision they will both be highly coveted PG's.
